Tea as far as you can see

A five hour trek into the tea hills resulted in hundreds of pictures of limitless green vista's.  Here's a few so you don't get to bored!

Relaxing in the hills

We stayed in an incredible homestay in Munnar called Zina's cottages surrounded by rolling tea plantations.  We were'nt allowed out after 9pm because of wild boar and wild elephants!

Thali's are incredible

A walk in the park.

A trip to Periyar National Park in Kerala, we saw wild a wild elephant!

they don't like cricket, they love it.

shops, stalls & street food

Yoga Cat

The Western Ghats

We climbed the mountains during a terrifying 4 hour government bus journey to take us to Kumily & Periyar National Park & tiger reserve.

Spiritual Redemption

Our first spiritual experience!

These are the remnants of the darshan we took part in whilst at the Golden Temple on an Island.  Was all pretty odd, I think they make some of it up!

On the move

We've decided we need to drag ourselves away from Varkala.  I'm sure there will be more beaches on the way.

A day on the Keralan back waters.

We floated through the backwaters in Varkala & Kollam.  The scarecrow protecting the tiger prawn farms were interesting! Then our guide Vishnu took us to his village and we met his mum and had chai and snacks.

Lounging

The fishing village

Fishing boats were coming and going, as one was launched by a group of men another mounted the beachfront. The boats lined the beach for as far as you could see.

Rickshaw

An early start with Vinod, the lad from our apartment who took us to the local fishing village. Got to drive the rickshaw on the way back, got stared at by everyone!!

The end of the day.

A setting sun in Varkala.

A families shadow
