The Road to Kathmandu
Varanasi to Kathmandu ended up taking 28 hours after the Maoist's called a general(ish) strike. On one overnight local bus from Sunuli to Kathmandu I had pissed locals fighting and hitting me in the head!
The Ganges
The holy river in Varanasi where they've been cremating bodies for 24 hours a day for hundreds of years, then take a bath in the ashes and bottle the water up to take home and wash in.

Not Exactly Greenwich
An observatory built by the king. These show the height of the sun in the sky and which astrological period we're in.
